Beetroot Pachadi is an important dish served as a part of Kerala special sadhya..It is very easy to make as well as yummy too....
INGREDIENTS
- Beetroot grated : 2 cups
- Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
- Finely chopped ginger : 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves : 1 spring
- Green chillies : 2 nos(split)
- Coconut oil : 2 tblsp
- Curd : 2 cups
- Salt to taste
METHOD
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Splutter mustard seeds
- Add finely chopped ginger,green chillies and keep stirring
- Add grated beetroot,curry leaves and salt to taste
- Fry for 2-3minutes till beetroot becomes dry and fully cooked.
- Remove the mixture from flame and allow to cool
- Add curd to the mixture
- Beetroot pachadi is ready to serve
SUGGESTIONS
You can use a mixture of buttermilk and curd if you prefer the pachadi to have a thin consistency. | |
